On September 26, 2026, Make Spanish Casual hosted the Parr Public Library Language Community Workshop at the Christopher A. Parr Library in Plano, Texas. More than 20 children and their families joined us for an afternoon of learning, creativity, and connection.

Throughout the event, children participated in a variety of activities designed to make language learning approachable and enjoyable. They practiced answering simple Spanish questions, completed Spanish worksheets, colored and drew pictures, and took part in other hands-on activities that encouraged them to explore Spanish in a relaxed environment.

At Make Spanish Casual, we believe that learning a language does not have to feel intimidating or limited to a classroom. Language can be learned through play, conversation, art, and everyday experiences. Events like this help children become more comfortable engaging with Spanish while also introducing families to the importance of multilingualism and language access in their communities.

We are grateful to the Christopher A. Parr Library for providing a welcoming space for the workshop and to every child and family who joined us. Seeing the kids learn, create, and have fun together made the event especially meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this workshop possible. We look forward to creating more opportunities for young people and families to connect through language.

Making Spanish more casual, accessible, and fun—one conversation at a time.
